Vaso cilindrico in ceramica di Satsuma raffigurante un gruppo di dieci carpe che nuotano in un corso d'acqua. La composizione offre una prospettiva dalla riva di un fiume, dove si notano tronchi d'albero sommersi parzialmente e fiori delicati, che sembrano sbocciare lungo le sponde.
Le carpe sono rappresentate in diverse pose, con dettagli meticolosi delle squame e delle pinne, che evocano un senso di movimento fluido e naturale nell'acqua.
