A bodegon, a Spanish kitchen stillive by a follower of Luis Meléndes ( 1716-1780). On a table all kind of all day kitchen items from circa 1800 are visible. Earthenwork and copper vessels, a porcelain bowl with lid, a wine glass, a caraffe and fruits like grapes, water melon, lemons, onions, peaches and a cauliflower. The work has an austere and sober atmosphere and a great play with dark and light. Oil on relined canvas. 80 x 100 cm. Not framed.
