A painted ceramic dish with fishes and flower decoration from the ancient Burmese/Northern Siamese culture, Lanna Kingdom 16-18th century.
In good condition. It has been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand forming, painting and grinding. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased in 1980/Mandalay by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market during his diplomatic mission in the region from the Burmese Antique Gallery , previuosly part of an old Burmese private collection.
