Very good copy and complete work of life and letters of the English naturalist and biologist Charles Darwin. Edited by his son Francis Darwin. Illustrated with tissue-guarded photographic portrait frontispiece of Charles Darwin, a photolithograph facsimile of Darwin's handwriting, and some other illustration.
Published by John Murray, London, 1908. Publisher’s original green cloth with green blind stamped decoration and title in green to front board, and gilt titles to the spine.
Book Dimensions: 20 x 13 x 4 cm & Number of Pages: 348 including 2 appendix and index
Condition
Firm and well bound copy. External covers in nice shape, with light wear to corners, and to head and foot of slightly marked and faded spine. Internally the book in very good condition. Old inscription with ink on first front free endpaper page. Pages are clean, with light foxing to the margin of some pages. Inner hinges are very good and pages are tightly held at gutters (Nice Copy) (Please see pictures).
