Original Rattanakosin Buddha in gilt bronze, 57 cm including throne.

Highly decorative bronze rattanakosin Buddha from Thailand, 120 years old from the beginning of the 20th century.
This Buddha stands on a 4-part throne, of which the top of is a lotus base.

Many beautiful details in the molding of clothes, rings on the fingers and an original layer of gilding.
Standing in Abhaya mudra position.

The Rattanakosin style is one of the most popular and well known Buddha styles in Thailand.

Position: Double abhaya mudra, which stands for peace, removes fear and protects followers.

Traces of age such as flaking, feet have had a repair (see photos). Very slightly loose on the throne (since it is an original it is made in 2 parts, the throne and the Buddha).
Hook for parasol on the back.

The Buddha figure is richly decorated with royal robes and an intact, high crown.
Fine cut-out details of the throne and all of the attachments.

Handmade and cast according to the "lost wax" method, where all details are first carved in wax, then coated with clay. Finally, when the figure is heated, the wax melts and the bronze is poured into the mold.
