Kirsty Wain - ALMOND BLOSSOM - XL

The almond blossom trees serve as a perennial source of inspiration. They are the first to bloom in January and February each year. The flowering of these trees symbolizes renewal and optimism. Almond trees contribute a unique allure to the landscapes of Andalucia. Their slender, graceful branches and fragile blossoms adorn hillsides and rugged cliffs with an exquisite elegance. The hues and fragrances of their flowers invigorate the spring countryside. It is a remarkable experience to traverse vast fields filled with almond trees, but an even more delightful experience is to stroll through the groves. In this artwork, Kirsty Wain takes inspiration from Van Gogh's representation of almond blossoms, exploring a close-up perspective of the branches. The soft white petals are interspersed with subtle hints of pink, lemon yellow, and turquoise, contrasted against a Mediterranean sky blue that showcases large, detailed views of the beautiful spring blooms. The branches are prominently featured, intricately twisted and layered with richly textured shades of ochre, violet, rose pink, and olive green. The application of brushstrokes is expressive, resulting in a piece that is both captivating and atmospheric. "Almond Blossom" is the companion piece to the original painting "Almond Blossom at Night," executed in oil on a 3cm deep stretched canvas. The dimensions of this artwork are 85cm in height and 90cm in width, and it features a "wrap-around style" on the sides, which permits it to be showcased without the need for a frame. Direct from the Art Studio. Shipped with tracked and signed service. ´There exists a correlation between the soul, place, and destiny, and my paintings serve as a representation of this connection¨. Kirsty Wain, a talented contemporary British painter currently based in Spain, explores the profound connection between the soul, place, and destiny through her artwork, which has been featured in prestigious exhibitions such as the recent 'Being with Trees' in Gibraltar and 'Regeneration' at the Hansard Studio in London. Her pieces, which focus on the beauty of landscapes, can be found in private collections worldwide, as she employs color and line to capture the true essence of each location with a sense of liberation and individuality. Kirsty Wainś landscape art endeavors to encapsulate the intrinsic nature of a location by employing a liberal approach, utilizing color and line to construct a harmonious arrangement. The influence of post-impressionism resonates throughout her creations, characterized by the application of thick, textured paint onto the canvas. Enthused by the perpetual beauty of the natural world, Kirsty Wain finds inspiration in the intricate details of trees, the undulating contours of the terrain, the vastness of the ocean, and the captivating allure of the skies. Each place holds significance for Wain, evoking vivid recollections of a fleeting instant or a poignant memory.
