In 1961, Carovini published the adventures of his character '2º Holmes' in Crítica, He then drew 'Yukón Pérez' and 'Terry Atlas' in Poncho Negro, before he became a regular artist of comic adaptations of novels for the collection 'A La Conquista del Mundo'. He also contributed to Hortensia, Intervalo and D'Artagnan, the publications of the publishing house Columba. He additionally worked for the Spanish publisher Bruguera and Editorial Record in Argentina.
