The Sumo ukiyo-e prints had not been published for a long time since 1908. This work is a limited edition sumo ukiyo-e print that was finally published again in the 1980s after a long hiatus. The background has a slight shimmer and looks beautiful. Tochinishiki Kiyotaka (栃錦 清隆) Tochinishiki Kiyotaka (1925–1990) was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Tokyo. He was the sport's 44th yokozuna. He won ten top division yūshō or tournament championships and was a rival of fellow yokozuna Wakanohana I. [Artist] Daimon Kinoshita (b 1946) is a renowned Japanese illustrator and ukiyo-e artist who has been active since the late Showa period. Self-taught in traditional ukiyo-e techniques, he has created a wide range of works, including sumo ukiyo-e prints. His artworks have been exhibited and presented to notable figures worldwide.
