Magnificent Samurai Katana, NEW in the Very rare 1 DELUXE Version produced some years ago and not in the basic version, from the epic movie "THE LAST SAMURAI" played by TOM CRUISE (Captain Nathan Algren) in the very rare version for this Katana, with Kanji writing on the scabbard engraved in the wood (忠勇義) "DUTY AND LOYALTY, HEROIC COURAGE, JUSTICE AND MORALITY” and with the Japanese Kanji writing along the blade made of 440C Carbon Stainless Steel (TOSHIN) "I BELONG TO THE WARRIOR IN WHICH THE OLD WAY JOINED THE NEW ONE".
As in all real Katanas this Replica of the film has a blade where there are waves along the entire blade called in Japanese "HAMON" which in this case have a wave pattern and are called in Japanese "Hamon brushed steel".

A little story of the Movie:
Cruise portrays Nathan Algren, an American captain of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, whose personal and emotional conflicts bring him into contact with samurai warriors in the wake of the Meiji Restoration in 19th century Japan. The film's plot was inspired by the 1877 Satsuma Rebellion, led by Saigō Takamori, and the Westernization of Japan by foreign powers. The character of Algren is very loosely based on Eugène Collache and Jules Brunet, both French Imperial Guard officers who fought alongside Enomoto Takeaki in the earlier Boshin War.

The Last Samurai grossed a total of $456 million at the box office and became the 6th-highest-grossing film of 2003. It received praise for the acting, visuals, cinematography and Hans Zimmer's score but criticism for some of its portrayals. It was nominated for several awards, including four Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and two National Board of Review Awards.

This amazing Katana, is one FIRST EDITION out of production shown as a luxurious version and treated in every detail.
There are details everywhere!

N.B This Katana comes with its collectible pedestal (for only one Katana, in photos Katana is one mine for 3 Katanas only for photos) made of black wood with the various Japanese Kanji honor writings highlighted in yellow to display your Katana on any surface.

Completely handmade, with matte black rosewood sheath, with a handle that reproduces the "Samegawa" (the white part of the handle) exactly as in the Katana of the movie, which replicates the stingray skin.

This Gorgeous Katana is a show! A handcrafted masterpiece and a feast for the eyes of collectors of this genre, as it is not the classic Katana or classic "replica of the katana of the movie, with the same kanji painted on the scabbard, but that's rarest version, is produced for this Movie in a DELUXE version where it does not have a painted plastic handle black like the current ones, but it is completely in wood and with the rare engraving (忠勇義) "DUTY AND LOYALTY, HEROIC COURAGE, JUSTICE AND MORALITY”, while in the versions currently produced we don't find the writings on the scabbard, or if there are, they are painted or printed on the plastic scabbard, here the scabbard is completely in Wood!

Here its features:

-THE BLADE: in this rare DELUXE version the blade is a single piece of 440C stainless carbon steel (TOSHIN) that reaches the end of the Katana handle called in Japanese "TSUKA".
The blade is written in Japanese Kanji which translated means "I BELONG TO THE WARRIOR IN WHICH THE OLD WAY JOINED THE NEW ONE", exactly like in the Movie.
As in all real Katanas this Replica of the film has a blade where there are waves along the entire blade called in Japanese "HAMON" which in this case have a wave pattern and are called in Japanese "Hamon brushed steel".
The blade is not sharp which makes that KATANA an absolute collector's item and exhibition piece for collectors.
It is possible to make it sharp due to its steel, but I would honestly leave this very rare version as is.

-THE SCABBARD (SAYA): it is made of black rosewood, finely worked, but as described above in this very rare version it has the Kanji writings on the scabbard engraved in the wood (忠勇義) "DUTY AND LOYALTY, HEROIC COURAGE, JUSTICE AND MORALITY”.
It is absolutely not made of plastic and painted, but it is real wood in this DELUXE VERSION.
Just above there is another wood part divided into two pieces called in Japanese "KURIGATA" and "SHITO-DOME" where a black lace is attached creating perfectly made knots that make it a feast for the eyes. This lace is called in Japanese "SAGEO" and is now braided around the scabbard and its base attached to the "KURIGATA".

The base of the scabbard called in Japanese "KOIGUCHI" has another protection with lines and other designs always in silver color.

TSUBA: which is the guard, is perfectly round AND has a very particular shape, and is stylized with a flying silver dragon.

TSUKA: it is the handle, which has its base in wood, then as described above it is covered with a white dot part "Samegawa" (the white part of the handle) which replicates the stingray skin which is a high quality reproduction ( one as much as a real one can cost thousands of euros).
The "Samegawa" is covered with a black braided rope which is called "Tsuka-Ito" in Japanese.
At the end of the handle there is another silver protection called in Japanese "KASHIRA" which is stylized with concentric lines and other shapes.
While in the initial part of the handle exactly under the TSUBA (guard) there is another decorated piece called "FUCHI" which has the same decorations as the KASHIRA in silver color.

The Pedestal: it is included with the katana, it is in wood of black color, with Kanji writing (always of color, yellow - gold).

N.B Attention in the photos was also another pedestal with support for 3 katanas, that pedestal is not included, but only the pedestal of the katana with the Japanese writing .

Obviously due to the careful and protective packaging, the dimensions will be much higher than those of the object. Whereas the wooden display stand is also included.

HERE THE STORY OF THE KATANA :
Katana is the Japanese long sword. Although this word generically refers to a sword, the term Katana refers to a specific single blade curved sword used by the samurai, the warriors who obeyed the daimyo (feudal), used mainly to strike with fenders, seized on one or two hands. The weapon was usually carried by warrior class members along with the wakizashi (or short sword). The combination of the two swords was called Daisho (from Japanese by = large and sho = small), and represented the power or class social and honor of the samurai.
In ancient times, the daisho was made up of tachos and for so long, they did not miss the samurai who preferred to carry so much together with the katana.
