The concept of this mirror is embrace the voyage of self-discovery against excessive focus on enhancing one’s appearance. Modern social pressure on improving how we look has shifted away the importance of a deeper, authentic exploration of our true self. The two different shapes, textures and perspectives of the mirror reflects this tension between surface-level appearance and genuine self exploration. In this piece this concept is enhanced with the 2 different textures and colour of the materials.


The tinted mirror is hand cut with polished edges. It is assembled over 100% recycled translucent acrylic frame in anthracite. The beautiful reflection of the light in the mirror changes depending on the spectator's angle.
The design of the mirror, including French cleat hanging system, makes the mirror parallel to the wall. Each Pon Design mirror is signed at the back.
