The tradition of Cambodian silver work stretches back hundreds of years, the French encouraged the development of silver crafts during the colonial period, and by the early 20th century. Unfortunately the Pol Pot regime almost put an end to this fine tradition and this silver boxes are getting difficult to find nowadays.

La tradition du travail de l'argent cambodgien remonte à des centaines d'années, les Français ont encouragé le développement de l'artisanat de l'argent pendant la période coloniale et au début du XXe siècle. Malheureusement, le régime de Pol Pot a presque mis fin à cette belle tradition et ces boîtes en argent deviennent difficiles à trouver de nos jours. Ici, nous avons une boîte à bétel en argent en forme d'oie. Très bel artisanat khmer ancien décoré selon la technique du repoussé. Testé argent 900, poids 182 g.
