DESCRIPTION:
Silver drinking vessel is conventionally called a phiale, an ancient Greek term for any wide, shallow bowl with a flared rim. In the center of the bowl is a raised button boss, usually referred to by the Greek term omphalos, with a floral decoration, the bowl is decorated with a complex high relief lobe design.
