Décor Boxes desk Set, exhibited at Salone Satellite - Salone del Mobile Milano 2024. Inspired by the dazzle of the chopped sea on a sunny afternoon at the beach, this décor desk boxes set represents one of the multiple variations of "Curiosité Collection" by Formaminima. In this design desk set the minimalist and plain volumes laid off at the centre of a crystal tray, inviting the observer to pursue more than one preferred point of view, on the hunt for that perfect intersection where light blue shapes, translucent surfaces and mirror finishes provide an unexpected Trompe-l’oeil effect. Mirror shades are rigorously applied by hand on each piece through an innovative artisanal technique in which a mirror gradient is airbrushed on extra-clear glass surfaces, providing a mesmerizing optical illusion.
The set is made of 3 Boxes with removable lids: Box1 H 50 x L 105 x D 50 mm
Box2 H 50 x L 50 x D 50 mm / Box3 H 150 x L 50 x D 50 mm / Plate: H 3 x L 210 x D 210 mm. Boxes, as portrayed, are laid off at the centre of the plate with 5 mm interspace. They are movable.
This décor desk set is handcrafted in Italy. Material: light blue glass with mirror finish hand-applied. Colour and textures may slightly differ depending on devices, and remain unique for each creation since the handcrafted features of this object.
