Immaculate condition, blown and hand-shaped, multi-layered Czech Biedermeier glass cup decorated with gold and enamel painting from the mid-19th century. External opaque opal glass surface with a cobalt blue glass layer with circular backsandings. The side wall is decorated with delicate colorful hand-painted flower ornaments. The upper rim is gilded. Coloured transparent glass with opaque white overlay is one of the main characteristic feature of the Biedermeier art glass pieces. Representative Biedermeier glass goblet both in colours and ornaments from a prive collection. Period : 1850.
