N.º 90598227
Porto Quinto Do Pego Vintage Port 2000 has aromas of blackberries and rasberries, toasted oak and mocha. This vintage Porto from Portugal is medium-bodied and medium sweet, with fresh acidity and a medium finish. It is a racy Port with only 1,250 cases produced.
Quinto Do Pego is owned by Calem, a leading grape grower that is located just a few miles outside of Pinhao along the Douro. Pego`s first ever Vintage Port was release in 2000, as they have historically supplied grapes for other Shippers. They have since produced some of the finest Vintage Ports out of Portugal. The 2000 Vintage Port is medium purple hue with pleasant blackberry fruit that`s juicy, but with a raspy texture that shows some hot spirit on the finish. Easy to enjoy now, in a lighter style with just enough tannins to make it cellar worthy for a decade or so.
RATINGS: Highly Recommended - Decanter
