DANTE Goods and Bads - Christophe de la Fontaine - Silla - Tela de Paul Smith - "Bavaresk bajo"
N.º 89924425
One-off special event x Paul Smith fabric upholstered and three-legged low chair "Bavaresk Low" by the German brand DANTE Goods and Bads, handcrafted in Italy.
Bavaresk Low is an elegant three-legged low chair crafted from beech wood, blending tradition with modern innovation. Inspired by the classic rural Bavarian wooden chair, its design reimagines the traditional joint structure through precision CNC processing, eliminating the need for a bulky plank. By reducing the legs from the usual four to three, the chair achieves a sleek, minimalist silhouette without sacrificing stability.
The chair was introduced as part of the Scenes from The Prairie collection, inspired by the two founder's transition from the vibrant urban life of Milan to the serene landscapes of rural Bavaria. The collection celebrated the embrace of tradition, bucolic charm, and folkloric elements, beautifully reflected in the design of the Bavaresk Low chair.
The iconic striped velvet fabric, designed by Paul Smith for Maharam, is the standout feature of this one-off piece launched as a part of a collaboration for the occasion of the Luxembourg Design Week. The remaining piece is unused and shows only minor defects from storage.
