SIN PRECIO DE RESERVA - Réplica de calavera de tigre dientes de sable en un soporte personalizado - Réplica de preparación de taxidermia - Smilodon - 34 cm - 20 cm - 32 cm

A stunning saber tooth skull made out of resin. "Saber-tooth" generally refers to a type of prehistoric mammal, specifically the saber-toothed cat. Saber-toothed cats were a group of large predatory mammals characterized by their long, curved canine teeth. These animals are often associated with the Pleistocene epoch and are known for their impressive adaptations for hunting. The most distinctive feature of saber-toothed cats is their elongated, saber-like canines. These teeth were often long and curved and adapted for delivering a powerful bite to their prey. There were several species of saber-toothed cats, belonging to different genera. One well-known example is Smilodon, often referred to as the saber-toothed tiger, though it is not closely related to modern tigers. Saber-toothed cats lived in various environments, including grasslands, woodlands, and savannas. Fossil evidence suggests they were distributed across different parts of the world. Saber-toothed cats, along with many other large mammals of the Pleistocene, went extinct around 10,000 to 11,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age. The reasons for their extinction are not entirely clear, but climate change, habitat shifts, and changes in prey availability are considered contributing factors.
