Iconic Art Deco, chrome and cream bakelite, fluted design coffee and tea service by Belgian kitchenware company Demeyere, founded in 1908. The items are special because of the unusual cream bakelite handles and rectangular finials on the lids, dishes, and fluted chrome lid knobs. You can sometimes find individual items, but the complete set is extremely rare. All items are in good vintage condition, but please note that there is a little damage to the bakelite items, which is not unexpected given their not insignificant age of almost 100 years old. Demeyere still produces kitchenware in Belgium and is a global brand owned by the Zwilling group. The set would make a fantastic addition to any Art Deco collection and the perfect gift for 1930s design enthusiasts.
