“Rabajà” Barbaresco Riserva comes from the Cru of the same name, just below the cellar. It is an amphitheater defined by limestone soils, excellent sunshine and very old vineyards. From approximately 1 hectare of surface area, the Nebbiolo bunches destined to make up this Reserve are selected and harvested, produced only in the most favorable and representative years. Refines for a period of 40 months inside Slavonian oak barrels; some are first-passage while others have an age that can even reach 8/9 years. This is followed by maturation in the bottle for at least 3 years. Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Riserva “Rabajà” has a garnet red color. Its olfactory profile is outlined on notes of cherry, black cherry, dark fruit. In the mouth it shows its beautiful structure, with body and great elegance. The freshness is linked to a very fine, velvety and noble composure tannin.
