His work embodies a personal and intimate vision of the natural elements that define the landscape around him, stemming from his upbringing in Sardinia. Each piece is the result of a meditative process that combines spatial qualities, shapes, and species of the surrounding environment. He expresses his style through various mediums, including drawing, painting, printing techniques, installations, and audio-video production, showcasing his commitment to creating and experimenting with different art forms. Participating in numerous international events, some of the most notable include the "La Tour Paris Project" in 2013, considered one of the most innovative contemporary art projects worldwide, and "Artmossphere," the first street-art Biennale held in Moscow in 2014, featuring 70 artists from around the world. In 2015, his work was featured in The Urban Contemporary Art Guide, edited by Graffiti Art Magazine, where he ranked among the world’s best 100 emerging artists of 2015. That same year, he completed an extensive public artwork in Cagliari, then Italian Capital of Culture, and opened a personal show titled "Clima Estremo" at Wunderkammern Gallery in Rome. In the following years, he was invited for several significant public artworks in Madrid (Spain), Helsinki (Finland), Albany and Perth (Australia). He returned to Australia in 2017 to create the mural "The Barrier" in Townsville, Queensland, which inspired his personal exhibition "Tropico," held at the Magma Gallery in Bologna. Tellas's work has garnered the attention of leading Italian fashion brands, including Ferragamo and Marni, leading to numerous collaborations. His collaboration with Marni was documented in "A grande terra do Sertão," presented at the 56th Venice Biennale. Taking his sun-drenched vision across the globe, Tellas has created public artworks in Atlanta (USA), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Delhi (India), Montreal (Canada), and Kaohsiung (Taiwan), in addition to cities in Italy such as Rome and Palermo. He is represented by Wunderkammern Gallery in Rome, Magma Gallery in Bologna, and Rhodes Contemporary in London. ABOUT THE ARTWORK: With 'Spring Is Coming,' Tellas taps into the emotions and longing we feel upon its return. We witness intertwined visions of a sunset over the sea and a fantasized vision of a tropical forest that embraces the diversity of patterns. The hues of dusty pink, orange, and yellow, fading toward a deeper blue, transport us to a summer sunset across the serene Mediterranean Sea. The use of flat areas of color, coupled with geometric lines and patterns, evokes an 80's nostalgia, revived and modernized in the softness of blendings and tones. This landscape appears as if cut from the drawing of an idealized tropical garden. Hand-drawn leaves showcase the variety of patterns and diversity of the biotope, transitioning from red to blue and green. At the top right, a white circle, as if someone had cut out the shape of the sun, awaits to be filled soon by the return of our beloved source of energy. Whether you reside in colder climates, prefer to enjoy beautiful plants at a very low maintenant, or simply desire to start or infuse a tropical vibe into your home, Tellas' 'Spring Is Coming' stands as the perfect decorative and uplifting piece. We hope it finds its place in your interior, serving as a reminder that, no matter what, spring will always return STREET-ART MOVEMENT: Tellas belongs to the wide and ever growing Street-Art mouvement that originated in the late 80s graffiti scene and has since been reclaiming public spaces as a platform to emancipate art and make it truly accessible to everyone. Councils and, overall, the public domain have now recognized its power and ability to renew and revive cities, abandoned areas, and spark interest for people to (re)engage with commons. Many festivals, commissions, and dedicated museums now celebrate the diversity of styles coexisting within Street-Art. Some of the most prominent members of this movement include pioneers and precursors Keith Harring, Basquiat, Jacques Villeglé, and the more contemporary Banksy, Obey (Shepard Fairey), Invader, C215, JR, Vhils, Mr. Brainwash, FAKE, Jef Aerosol, Swoon, Speedy Graphito, Cornbread, Futura 2000, Kaws, D*Face, Misstic, Fin DAC, the London Police,1010, Alexi Diaz, Alias, Alice Pasquini, Axel Void, Blek le rat, Cranio, Super A, Danielle SeeWalker, Hoxxoh, Bortusk Kleer, Arsh Mandrome, Hök, Moabit, TedyZet, Utopia, Jago Oner, Santicri, Kev Munday amongst many, many more
