Subject: 藻狩Algae hunting The roller ends of this painting were made of bamboo, special and creative. Artist: Imai Shōsō今井松窓 Japanese painter and haiku poet. Born in Ehime Prefecture. His given name was Sumitaka, and his haiku name was initially Hyakubu, and later Ushiban. He first studied Western-style painting under Honda Kinkichirō and Koyama Shotaro, but after studying haiku under Masaoka Shiki, who was from the same hometown, he became interested in Japanese painting, and was praised for his haiku paintings that combined Western realism. He died in 1949 at the age of 85. Material: silk Signed and Sealed Roller ends: bamboo With inscribed tomobako. The roller ends of this painting were made of bamboo, special and creative.
