Herramienta de trabajo - Sierra japonesa vintage, 鋸

Japanese saws, mainly used in woodworking and traditional wooden architecture in Japan, are of a traditional form. In contrast to "push saws" like those used in Europe where the saw is pushed to cut material, Japanese saws are "pull saws," where the cutting action is done by pulling. As a result, the blades are thin and can cut more efficiently with narrower kerfs (the width of the cut). However, it can be more difficult to apply body weight when pulling. Japanese saws are also used outside Japan and are exported. The majority of exports originate from Kobe Port near Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, a prominent saw production area. While the United States is the primary export destination, in recent years, exports to European countries have been increasing. Double-edged saws: These are the most common saws. They have two types of blades: one for rip cutting (cutting in the same direction as the wood grain) and the other for crosscutting (cutting perpendicular to the wood grain). A simple way to distinguish between the two blades is that the one with finer teeth is for crosscutting, while the one with coarser teeth is for rip cutting. Single-edged saws: Unlike double-edged saws, single-edged saws have blades on only one side. They are specialized for specific tasks, enhancing both efficiency and precision in work. Additionally, since the blade is only on one side, there is less chance of the blade getting stuck during cutting, which also makes it easier to control during operation. Size (Longest one): 57.5 x 8 x 1.5 cm Total weight : 807 g NOTICE The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
