Bodegas Montebaco has earned a solid prestige. Their wines are based on an excellent own vineyard on the Monte Alto estate, at an altitude of 850-900 m, within the “golden mile” of Ribera del Duero, between the famous municipalities of Valbuena de Duero and Pesquera de Duero. The history of Bodegas Montebaco began to be written in the mid-eighties when the Valladolid businessman Manuel Esteban decided to bet on the winemaking possibilities of the Monte Alto estate, previously dedicated to livestock and agriculture. Thus, after the rehabilitation of the existing building to convert it into a winery and the planting of the first 20 hectares of vineyards, the trajectory of Montebaco begins. Today it already has 50 hectares of vineyards around the facilities, in the 'château' style. Since then, the wines of Bodegas Montebaco, made under the direction of the famous winemaker César Muñoz, have earned a solid prestige for their quality and consistency. Reds with D.O.
