No.97 This hanging scroll for the tea ceremony is a collaborative piece featuring a bamboo ink painting by'Shousen Tanaka'田中松泉(1918~unknown), an artist from Nara, and a poem in calligraphy sent by 'Adachi Taido'足立泰道(1937~2009), the abbot of Unzai Temple of the Rinzai Zen Daitokuji sect'臨済宗大徳寺派瑞龍山雲澤寺, to 'Daicou Sougen'大綱宗彦 (1772~1860). Tanaka skillfully arranges bamboo and bamboo grass, demonstrating his high level of artistic skill. The poem by Adachi Taido, written in sharp and mature calligraphy, beautifully complements the bamboo painting, creating an elegant and tasteful tea hanging scroll.
