The Winchcombe Meteorite entered the atmosphere as a fireball over Gloucestershire, England at 9:54pm on the 28th February 2021. This incredibly rare fragment was part of the 9g personally recovered by Rob Wilcock from the area around his driveway after everything else had been donated to the Natural History Museum in London. Every piece was weighed and documented for Bob Wilcock with the help of the Natural History Museum in London.
All driveway fragments from the 9g collected from around the driveway come with a document written by Bob Wilcock describing the background and provenance of these pieces. Each piece is individually listed by Mendy Ouzillou who helped Bob Wilcock and the Natural History Museum in the curation of these fragments. A 1g vial of tiny fragments mostly under 0.01g are all listed together as Lot #3.
