This is a beautiful Kutani porcelain figure depicting a red fierce temple lion, known as "shishi 獅子," leaning against a playing ball called 'temari 手毬' with a detailed peony motif. The piece features a rich polychrome glaze with gilded accents, showcasing fine craftsmanship. The bottom of the figure bears a 2-character name seal, '大吉 Daikichi kiln.' Good condition. For an item of this age, the condition is exceptionally good. However, please note that there may be minor scratches or dirt due to the passage of time that the inspector may not have noticed.
