Meissen - Jarrón - "Rosa roja" - Porcelana
Lovely Meissen trumpet vase, “Red Rose” pattern, hand painted, gold trimmed. Dated first half of XX c.
The production of porcelain at Meissen, near Dresden, started in 1710, established by King Augustus the Strong. As Europe’s first porcelain manufacturer it attracted artists and artisans to establish one of the most famous porcelain manufacturers, still in business today. Its signature logo, the crossed swords, was introduced in 1720 to protect its production; the mark of the crossed swords is one of the oldest trademarks in existence. Meissen creations are passed on and cherished from generation to generation for centuries - both as a precious memory of the past and as an investment in the future.
The love story between roses and Meissen porcelain product originates from 1745 by Johann Joachim Kaendler - porcelain artist and designer. During the centuries this love didn't faded.
The item is in excellent vintage condition, no chips and cracks, no repairs. Fully hallmarked with blue swords, embossed mold numbers and red hand-written numbers.
Approximate dimensions: Height: 14 cm. Width up/down: ca. 11,5/7.5 cm. Weight: 367 g.
