Bought to Campo Viejo winery distribution in 2011. Bottles stored in private cellar up today into original cardboard box: very good filling level, full intact corks and capsules, labels, color, no leakage. This very rare 55 years old traditional Rioja wine was produced in a limited edition by Campo Viejo winery and rarely placed on the market. Labelled and launched with a different red label than the regular Reserva. It comes from the first bottling of this vintage in July 1974, a selection of the finest casks specially chosen by the winemakers: fermented and matured for 12 months in a big wooden vat, aged for 36 to 40 months in cask and finally bottled directly from the barrel (not filtered). This prime selection, just a few thousand bottles, were labeled and then cellared in the old winery on the outskirts of Logroño, La Rioja. Bottles remained stored for 40 years in cardboard boxes.
