The books are profusely illustrated throughout with 114 plates (38 with colour, 1 folding) + fold-out charts + in-text illustrations + "The Development of The Teeth of The Horse" model in volume 3 + "The Hoof of the Horse" model in volume 6. It is illustrated with multiple coloured overlays including a tissue guard with an explanation and identification table. Published by The Gresham Publishing Company, London, 1907. Publisher’s original green decorated Art Nouveau bindings, in a Talwin Morris (Talwin Morris was a prolific book designer and decorative artist working in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly known for his Glasgow Style furniture, metalwork and book designs), with gilt lettering on upper covers and spines. Internally the volumes are in very good condition. No names or inscriptions. Pages are clean, with occasional light marks on few pages. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. Pages are clean, thick, and healthy. All plates and illustrations are in very good condition (Please see pictures).
