An original rare first quality Wedgwood Royal Albert bone china tea service in good condition, no chips cracks or repairs and with the Old Country Roses pattern, this is an original set from the 1960's with the first back stamp used and was designed by Harold Holdcroft. Old Country Roses was originally launched in 1962 and is now renowned for being synonymous with Royal Albert and fabulous British tea parties. The motifs of burgundy, pink and yellow roses were inspired by a quintessentially English country garden in full bloom, designed in flamboyant flair and accented with lustrous gold banding. The cups stand 14cm high and the saucers 18cm in diameter.
