Judy Yang ha frequentato la School of the Art Institute of Chicago per il suo BFA in pittura e disegno, il Maryland Institute College of Art per il suo certificato post-laurea, ha studiato stampa concentrandosi sulla tecnica dell'acquaforte presso l'Art Student League di New York per tre anni e il Pratt Institute per il suo master in pittura. Ha esposto le sue opere negli Stati Uniti.
