A fine example of a mould-blown pale blue ancient Roman glass bottle with cylindrical neck and folded rim. The round body is featuring the double-faced Roman god Janus.
Janus: Roman god of beginnings, gates ,transition, duality. Janus presided over the beginning and ending of a conflict, and hence over war and peace. He is usually depicted as a double-faced head, one face looking forwards and the other looking backwards.
Total height: ± 82,8 mm
Diameter: ± 51,1 - 51,8 mm
Condition: intact and in good solid condition. In some parts some iridescence to the surface of the glass.
