Simca 1200 S coupe, a rare car with an extremely interesting history. The car always belonged to Mr. Noci Giancarlo, a space engineer, who bought the car in Florence and it was then sold by his heirs.
This car had been awarded but the buyer did not fulfil the payment, so it was put up for auction again.
The car has a truly complete and unparalleled set of documents: from the first sales invoice at the dealership, to the last complete documented engine overhaul in 2021. Look at all the photos, you will be amazed.
It still has black number plates and booklet with original pages from first registration.
The bodywork in the original green colour is very sound, with some imperfections due to age and on a car that has never been restored. However, all the unobtainable profiles, details and characteristics are in place and give the car a historic flavour.
Mechanically, the engine is new, documented with photos and declaration by a specialised Simca mechanic: the car starts up immediately, however it has remained unused since the death of the previous owner,
therefore a regular check is recommended before normal road use. New battery.
The original interior is in beautiful condition with only minimal repairs: the wooden steering wheel, dashboard and instruments are beautiful and original.
The underbody is very sound and usable, it has never had a restoration and is as you would expect from a preserved car.
A unique opportunity to purchase a rare car with a documented past and one owner, with original number plates and documents.
Some videos of the car, engine and road driving are available. A high resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description on the seller’s website. Please ask Catawiki.
We can arrange the transfer of ownership or export documents remotely. Affordable shipping to Italy, Europe and the rest of the world. You can also conveniently pick up the car on site, as it can stay at our storage facility for 15 days free of charge.
We recommend viewing the vehicle before the end of the auction, even via a video call on your smartphone (WhatsApp, FaceTime). Please send a message to Catawiki for an appointment. The seller reserves the right to claim compensation if the buyer does not pay for the purchase, which is automatically concluded after the winning bid is established and obliges the buyer to make the payment, as per the sales contract available on the seller’s website.
