Möbelkunst started to collect furniture and accessories from the 1930’s-1980’s more than 20 years ago for the lovers of extraordinary objects and 20th century design. You can find almost anything for any living space in the 1000 m² showroom which was originally a mining machine workshop. We think that good design has to be for everybody so beside iconic pieces we have objects from less known designers as well, within everyone’s reach. Most of the pieces in our storage are Mid-century modern and Scandinavian but we also have Bauhaus rarities, works from famous Hungarian industrial designers and vintage loft pieces as well. It is really important that we don’t like replicas – we sell only original pieces – because we believe that the work of a designer has to be honoured as much as an original artwork. If you can’t find the furniture you are looking for in our showroom we will hunt it down for you on request. We have a team of experienced restorers as well who are busy working on our beloved pieces so that they can regain their original shine. And for sofas, chairs and other furniture in need of new drapes, we have an expert upholsterer who refurbishes our furniture with high quality leather and textile. In addition to selling furniture, we also rent them, our objects appear regularly in commercials, Hungarian films and foreign productions.
