Monetise your web traffic with the Catawiki Partner Network

Written by Simone | 26 February 2019 | Updated 17 April 2023

Ensuring a high number of visitors to your website can be tricky, and then there’s the challenge of turning those views into profit. We've got everything you need to know about becoming a partner with Catawiki, and how doing so can help you monetise your web traffic.

There's plenty of opportunities when it comes to selling and advertising on Catawiki, courtesy of the 14 million international visitors the site gets each month and the range of categories we sell objects in. If you're selling on Catawiki already, these are some tips on increasing your performance. But if you'd like to expand your digital footprint and work even closer with Catawiki, look to becoming a partner.

What is the Catawiki Partner Network?

By using the Catawiki Partner Network, website owners can earn money by promoting Catawiki’s adverts and content. This works best with websites that have something in common with Catawiki. Which is why only sites related to Catawiki’s auction categories, with at least a minimum level of development; an established structure and a strong focus, and sites that offer valuable and quality content to their visitors are suitable as a partner.

How does it work?

You can sign up here. Once your application has been submitted, the Catawiki team will check your site to see if you are suitable as a partner. If you are approved, you’ll get a unique account from where you’ll have access to a wide range of creatives, tracking tools and real-time data about your performance.

With our provided promotional materials on your site, you can refer users to Catawiki and for every user that becomes an active user or makes a purchase, you will earn a commission. All your earned commissions will be displayed on your dashboard and your payments will be transferred every month.

What is the commissions model?

There are two different ways to earn money at the Catawiki Partner Network: lead rewards and commission rewards. Lead rewards mean that a fixed amount is rewarded for every new user who places a bid (bidder) or submits their first lot (lot submitter) within the first 30 days after the click.

A commission reward is a percentage of the buyer protection fee or seller commission fee that will be rewarded when a new or existing user has either won or sold something on Catawiki within 60 days of the click. For new users, this is 80%, for existing users 40%.

What about promotional material?

By joining the network, you will gain access to banners, text links, content material, emails and product data feeds that are all in line with our style guides, and customised content available in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. We’ll offer tools for tracking the content and links, a granular insight dashboard to deep dive on your performance, real-time data and fast payment services.
