Auction live until the 27th of October showcasing one-of-a-kind design pieces only from school alumni

This is a chance to explore over 150 unique pieces from renowned designers and emerging talents

Amsterdam, 24 October 2024- In celebration of the Dutch Design Week, Catawiki, the leading online marketplace for special objects, has partnered with the Eindhoven Design Academy to bring to life a unique auction that showcases creativity and innovation of both established and emerging design talent.

The auction features an exclusive selection of pieces by various generations of DAE alumni, as well as this year’s graduating class. Renowned designers like Maarten Baas and Leo Orta showcase their work alongside emerging artists, supporting the next generation of young and fresh talent in the design industry. This is an opportunity to bid on over 150 unique interior items at the click of a button, while supporting alumni who aspire to turn their creations into sustainable business ventures.

Among the striking designs available are Benjamin Motoc’s blue pen chair, Krijn Christiaansen & Cathelijne Montens’ stoneware vase inspired by rock formations and monoliths landscape, Leo Orta’s Jazzberry Jam lamp, and the bold Little LIDL bag by Daukantė Subačiūtė. Gaurav Jhangiani, 2024 class graduate, commented: "As newly graduated designers, Catawiki is providing us with a great platform to showcase our work and support our young career. By guiding us to build a strategy to sell online, they are helping set up our economic viability. It is an important skill in our field - empowering us to realise our artistic visions.”
