Small purse or wallet of Turtle - in good condition with some wear on the edges.
Dimensions: 7 x 5 x 2.2 cm, can be unfolded to approx. 3 cm. 
With gold coloured, cartouche-shaped, ornament plate. Rectangular model with rounded corners and 4 interior compartments. The clasp is horizontal, like the hinge and the inner brackets of brass. The Interior is harmonica-shaped and made of red silk-satin. One of the inner brackets is marked with "BREVETE SGDG", which was used in France between 1850 and 1900. This conforms to the CITES legislation as the item is dated to before 1947. The outside shows a beautiful Turtle drawing.
