Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Auslese is een van de meest prestigieuze en begeerde Rieslings ter wereld. Egon Müller is een legendarische wijnmaker uit de Moezel, Duitsland, en zijn wijnen, vooral de edelzoete varianten zoals Auslese, Beerenauslese en Trockenbeerenauslese, behoren tot de topklasse van Duitse wijnbouw.

De Scharzhofberger wijngaard is een van de beroemdste percelen in de Moezel en staat bekend om zijn leisteenbodem, die zorgt voor een perfecte combinatie van mineraliteit en finesse. De Auslese is gemaakt van laat geoogste, edelrot-aangetaste druiven (Botrytis cinerea), wat resulteert in een wijn met een intens aroma, een perfecte balans tussen zoetheid en zuurgraad en een enorm rijpingspotentieel.

De smaakprofielen van Egon Müller’s Scharzhofberger Auslese bevatten vaak tonen van rijpe perzik, abrikoos, honing, citrus en een kenmerkende leisteenachtige mineraliteit.
