Le Château d’Yquem est un lieu extraordinaire, niché au cœur des collines de l’appellation Sauternes, riche d’une centaine d’hectares de vignobles plantés sur une mosaïque de terroirs gravelo-sableux. Si le domaine s'étend sur 113 hectares de vignes, le vignoble en production s'étale quant à lui sur environ 100 hectares, profitant de sols chauds et secs en surface avec de grosses graves. Les sols argileux, eux, permettent de constituer de bonnes réserves en eau.
