Magnificent large claw footed vase, produced by Herend - “Queen Victoria” Collection, in excellent to pristine condition.
This vintage Herend hand painted porcelain vase, has a classic trumpet form standing on four claw/pawns feet on a square base and features the company's popular Queen Victoria decor. It’s in excellent to pristine condition.
The colorful floral and foliate “Queen Victoria “ pattern includes butterflies and other garden insects and was first introduced in 1851 for the First World Exhibition in London.
Reportedly, Queen Victoria herself, was taken with the design and purchased a set, leading to the pattern being named in her honor.
According to Herend literature, "this Chinese-influenced pattern demands the skills of Herend's most talented and experienced painters."
