TO(gt) M(assa) A(rtikelen) DO(rdrecht) was/became the brand name for these products.
The brothers van der Togt began in 1923 in an attic room in Dordrecht.
to work with a small pliers and wire. Picture hooks were the first product.
In 1926 they received a large order from department store DE HEMA,
In 1934, they had a factory built in Zwijndrecht.
Then it really started well, the many products were a great success!
The vision of TOMADO was: making mass-produced products for everyone,
easy to produce from cheap material (iron wire).
Later this iron wire became plasticized.
