Pair of silver Georgian 3rd III candlesticks. In the form of Corinthian columns chased with spiralling bands of garlands, raised on square bases decorated with urns, wreaths and beaded borders. Having detachable round nozzles with beaded borders. Made in Sheffield, 1776 (249 years old) Made by Joseph Tibbitts Fully English hallmarked for sterling silver 925. The dimensions of this fine pair of hand-made antique silver candlesticks are: Length 28 cm (11 inch) Wide at base 12 x 12 cm Approx. 792 + 658 = 1450 gram (weighted for stability) (bobèches weigh 53 grams together).
