enrico bovati - mondo sommerso

enrico bovati - mondo sommerso

The artist, trained in drawing and illustration, took his first steps studying at the Civica Scuola d’Arte in Pavia and subsequently attending the studio of Maestro Caprara, a fundamental meeting that introduced him to the most refined painting techniques. Collaborator of the master, he participated in the creation of frescoes for churches and private homes. Over time, he developed his own approach and opened a personal studio, determined to carry forward an authentic and professional artistic project. His works reflect a recognizable and, at the same time, constantly evolving figurative style. He prefers oil on canvas or board, where he can experiment with a range of shades and chromatic intensities. Enrico Bovati has chosen a synthetic and direct pictorial language, which is not limited to detailed description, but aims at an immediate and decisive visual impact. His painting, although evocative, detaches itself from the faithful copy of reality, seeking instead to reinterpret it through simplified forms and intense colors, capable of transmitting emotions and suggestions to the public. His series of flowers on a black background represents a symbolic turning point: here, the flowers become the absolute protagonists, almost endowed with human features, and reflect a "violated nature" that invites the observer to look beyond aesthetics. In the landscapes, however, often inspired by visual memory, the artist explores artificial lights and dreamlike atmospheres, recreating fragments of scenes taken from the memories and sensations that those places have transmitted to him. His goal is to create paintings that "hold the gaze over time," capable of leaving a trace in the soul of those who observe them. Each work thus becomes a universe in itself, evoking a personal experience and offering an almost metaphysical dimension, where memories, emotions and symbols blend into a painting with a unique and unmistakable character.
