VOSTOK Komandirskie watch with manual winding, silver case and white dial dedicated to the - Military accessories - 2002
VOSTOK Komandirskie watch with manual winding, silver case and white dial dedicated to the Russian military Navy. At six o'clock it has the inscription СДЕДЛАНО В РОССНИ which can be translated in Italian as manufactured in Russia. With original box and warranty certificate from 2003.
The Vostok Komandirskie are watches made in Russia.
The production of Vostok Komandirskie began in 1962 at the watch factory in Čistopol', and since 1965, the Vostok company became the official supplier of watches for the Ministry of Defense of the Soviet Union. Already in the 1970s, Vostok started exporting its watches abroad. In Italy, good marketing began in the 1980s and 1990s, with Vostok Komandirskie being presented as the watches of the Red Army.
The Soviet era Commanders (USSR) are now sought after for their historical value and their robust appearance, made distinctive also by the crown at 2 o'clock. In some cases, Soviet-era watches have the inscription ЗАКАЗ МО СССР at six o'clock, which translated into Italian means "by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."
The Komandirskie watches are declared to be waterproof up to 20 meters and typically have a case made of chrome brass, although some models are in steel. Depending on the treatment, we find silver and gold cases. The case diameter is 39mm and the crown is at 3 o’clock, unlike the production from the Soviet era. The case back is stainless steel and features a fine engraving of a two-headed eagle or the rising sun.
It is very difficult to list all the existing dials on the market; the models from the Soviet era and the Russian era have a wide variety of designs and colors. In most cases, we find designs with military themes (tanks, aircraft carriers, paratroopers, airplanes, etc.) and the 12 Arabic numbers, in the classic style of military watches.
At 3 o'clock there is also a date window.
The Vostok Komandirskie usually uses the manual movement 2414A, with 17 jewels and a date function. It is a mechanism that, of course, we do not find any finishes on, except for the satin finishes. It operates at a frequency of 19800 vibrations per hour and claims an accuracy of -20/+60 seconds per day. It has a power reserve of about 36 hours.
