huge Russian DATOLITE cabinet light green in color - Height: 15 cm - Width: 11 cm- 1767 g - (1)

This "modestly" sized datolite from the bor pit is a true Russian classic and a great example of one of my favorite species from Dalnegorsk, second only to the fluorites and ilvaites, of course. This specimen is imposing, not just because of its size (which is significant), but because of its three massive crystals. These crystals are arranged in an aesthetically pleasing closed Y shape. the crystals are translucent with gemmy areas, showcasing a sharp, saturated mint green color with minimal yellow—something I personally prefer. They have an absolutely superb mirror finish that contrasts noticeably with the few scattered milky quartz pieces breaking the surface of the datolite, serving as beautiful accents. Overall, the piece is remarkably well-preserved for its size, showing only a few minor chips and a broken quartz tip
