Visconti’s Rembrandt collection took its inspiration from the famous 17th century painter, Rembrandt Van Rijn. This artist was a Dutch Golden Age painter and is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the hisory of art and the most important in Dutch art history. His work depicts a wide range of style and subject matter including; portraits, self-portraits, landscapes, genre scenes, allegorical and historical scenes, biblical and mythological themes and animal studies.
