Magnificent Art Deco porcelain sculpture of a dancer titled “Spring”/“Frühling”, designed by the famous artist Dorothea Charol (1889-1963) for Rosenthal Bavaria, in excellent to pristine condition.
It depicts a beautiful dancer lady modelled in a ballet pose with outstretched arms and bent leg, raised on a stepped octagonal posy base, all in pure white color.
This is the tallest size ever made by Rosenthal, rare collector item.
Dorothea Charol (1889 - 1963) was in the 1920s, the most prominent designer for the Rosenthal Art Department factory.
It is in excellent to pristine condition, marked on the back the base with Rosenthal Bavaria D.R.P.a. mark of the period, impressed with artist name D. Charol, impressed numbered #211a and 1. (First Choice), beautifully sculpted and glazed, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
