Françoise Madeleine Hardy (17 January 1944 – 11 June 2024) was a French singer-songwriter who was known for singing melancholic, sentimental ballads. Hardy rose to prominence in the early 1960s as a leading figure in French yé-yé music and became a cultural icon in France and internationally. In addition to her native French, she also sang in English, Italian, and German. Her musical career spanned more than 50 years, with over 30 studio albums released. She also represented Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest 1963.

Born and raised in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, Hardy made her musical debut in 1962 on French label Disques Vogue and found immediate success through the song "Tous les garçons et les filles". Drifting away from her early rock and roll influences, she began to record in London in 1964, which allowed her to broaden her sound with albums such as Mon amie la rose, L'amitié, La maison où j'ai grandi, and Ma jeunesse fout le camp.... In the late 1960s and early 1970s, she released Comment te dire adieu, La question, and Message personnel. During this period, she worked with songwriters such as Serge Gainsbourg, Patrick Modiano, Michel Berger, and Catherine Lara. 

Heinz-Ulrich Röhnert (1917-1983) The son of a glazier and a seamstress, born in 1917 in Friedenau near Berlin, he learned a trade at the Reichsbahn after primary school. In the variety show "Wintergarten", people became aware of his photographic talent and he received his first commissions to produce autograph postcards for the artists who performed there. From then on, he worked as a photojournalist and in 1946 founded the Röhnert news agency in Berlin-Mitte. He was mainly active as an agency owner, i.e. he consulted and acquired a large amount of photographic material from other photographers and archives for his own company (including, among other things, a batch of photos by the Haeckel brothers, which dealt with Berlin and the surrounding area and became part of the DHM holdings together with the Röhnert Archive).
The focus was on his hometown of Berlin, the leisure activities and popular travel destinations of Germans, film footage (especially poster photos for cinema windows) and portraits of actors. For the BND, he provided photos of the construction of the Wall.

In the 1950s, Heinz-Ulrich Röhnert, who was a member of the Journalists' Association, was expropriated by the GDR and moved to West Berlin. The photographer died in Tenerife in 1983. The agency was sued by his wife Ursula.
