Description:
Top-of-the-line, semi-professional cassette recorder offers a lot of operating comfort with top-class sound reproduction and various professional features.
The operation is intuitive and actually very simple.
I never owned the optional remote and never missed it.
The built-in headphone amplifier is of very good quality.
The model developed by Teac/Tascam in Japan and manufactured in Taiwan remained unchanged in production from 1994 to 2000.
6 years is a very long time for the HiFi industry and this indicates a very successful design.

Attention:
Japan's model, designed for 120 Volt
Can be delivered upon request with a step-down transformer.
Devices made for the Japanese market operate on 100 to 120 Volt.
To be able to use it in Europe, a transformer is needed that lowers the EU mains voltage from 240 volts to 110 volts.
That is a step-down transformer.
Small cheap (often advertised here at Catawiki as "included for free") are intended for short use on razors and the like.
They are unsuitable for HiFi use. With prolonged use, they become hot and start humming.
That so-called free is nonsense, here lots are auctioned, nothing is free, every extra component increases the value.
For Japanese devices that require little power such as recorders, turntables, preamplifiers, etc., a 300 Watt step-down transformer is more than sufficient.
For amplifiers and power amplifiers, that is very different; here, high varying current intensities occur.
A sufficiently safe step-down transformer is quickly 1000 watts for the average amplifier, and for power amplifiers, I recommend the largest one you can find.
The Teac V-6030S offered here has a power consumption of 20 Watts in which there are hardly any fluctuations.
For the European buyer of the V-6030S who does not have a good step-down transformer or can buy one favorably in their area, I offer a very stable 500-watt transformer for €50 plus shipping costs to the destination country.
