Iron Maiden ‎– Live After Death (1st US-Capitol Press with Photobook) -is Iron Maiden's legendary live album, released on October 14, 1985. It captures performances from their World Slavery Tour (1984-85), which was one of the most elaborate and ambitious tours of its time. The album primarily features recordings from four nights at the Long Beach Arena, California (March 14-17, 1985), with additional tracks from the Hammersmith Odeon, London (October 8-12, 1984). The album shows Iron Maiden at their peak, with Bruce Dickinson's iconic vocals and the twin guitar attack of Dave Murray and Adrian Smith in full force. The stage production was legendary, featuring the giant ‘Egyptian’ Eddie and a spectacular light show. It includes an incredible 13-minute live version of ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’. The cover art by Derek Riggs is one of the most famous in metal history, showing Eddie rising from the grave with a nod to H.P. Lovecraft's Necronomicon.
